WHAT is 'NETIQUETTE' ?

Swom is growing the fastest out of all the new social networks .. It's free to join and will bring you thousands and thousands of visitors. The methods I list can be used to enhance your social and business networking here or any similar site . Knowing how to interact with others is very important.

Here are 12 ways you can get the most from your membership.

Otherwise known as 'NETIQUETTE'

(1) If you are new to Swom make sure you are active. Visit daily if you can and get to know your peers here.

(2) Whether or not you are new, every time you get a request to connect, contact that person and thank them for connecting with you... maybe even offer your assistance.

(3) Always be polite, courteous, and professional in your communications.

(4) When someone joins up through your link, ALWAYS visit their profile and ask them how they are finding Swom. Ask them if they need any help and try to give any help or practical advice they may need, or point them in the right direction. You can tell who joined through your link by visiting your 'Income' tab, scrolling down a tad and clicking on the number next to where it says 'Personally Referred'.

(5) When you visit someone's profile, ask yourself how you can help this person. Maybe you send them a link to a blog, that will help their business. When you like what you see, say so.

(6) Post a comment on their page. When you praise someone, don't just say 'I like your profile'. Say what you like about it: The wording? Their story? Or the service they are offering?

(7) Everyone is on Swom in order to sell goods or services and make money. Be different. Your mission should be to help other Swom members grow their business as well as your own.

(8) When you help someone, you are building a relationship. This person may refer others to you. Or you can ask the person for a reference which you can add to your website. The more people you help, the more referrals you will get.

(9) Posting about your businesses on the 'dashboard' (sans link) will also bring visitors to your profile. Offer free goods or services which others can use to promote their businesses. For example, I offer my own Traffic Exchange, a virallist builder, a team builder and an MLM builder. And about to add a safelist servive I purchased this week (3000+ members already) You can use most of those to promote any program or opportunity.

(10) Have meaningful conversations .... DON'T just paste nonsense and 100 quotes JUST to get points. Some quotes and jokes are OK to get some conversations going. Respond to the people commenting, don't just keep pasting more. And don't just post about your business. Post things that will be of interest, of use and of value to other Swom members.. Be the person people come to for information.

(11) Don't just promote your own business and ask people to go to your profile only. Promote others' as well if you think they are valuable. For example, I have sent people to some of my friends profiles or Open University posts and comments by others. If I feel that it will benefit that member.
